Jose “Bean” Vasquez can now be taken off what is now a very short list of Grande Sports Academy players who have yet to sign. Vasquez, who has been at the Academy since its inception three years ago, has signed with Grande Canyon University (GCU) located in Phoenix. He will also be joining fellow Academy FW Amer Sasivarevic who also signed with GCU in February.
Vasquez will also be helping GCU transition from a Division II school to a Division I school. A process they announced earlier this year. In January we profiled Vasquez who is one of the hardest workers at the Academy.
When asked about how he felt to sign Vasquez said, “It was just a sigh of relief. Everything that I’ve worked for has paid off. I’m grateful for the opportunity that GCU has given me.”
