CASA GRANDE, Ariz. – The Real Salt Lake U-18 and U-16 Elite squads continue to dominate Arizona State League play finished the weekend play with a string of impressive performances.
The U-18’s returned to play after a three-week break and showed no signs of rust against the CDO 96B Gold on Saturday in Tucson. Lead by Matthias Binder, the RSL U-18 Elite team jumped all the opposition and soundly defeated them 11-0. Binder lead all goal scorers with three and notched four assists in the match. Other goal scores in the match: Radu Marcu, Albert Molina, Ishan Atit, Paul Bin, Kiuno, Nicholas LaMonica and Josh Taylor.
On Sunday, the U-18 Elite team squared off against a tougher team in Tucson TSA 96 Boys Blue and played them to a 2-2 draw. Josh Taylor and Victor Alvarez scored for RSL.
After three matches in the Arizona State League, the RSL U-18 Elite team is currently in second place and two points behind the leader. At the end of the season the top two teams will be promoted to Division I.

The RSL U-16 Elite squad shook off the previous weekend in Park City, Utah, and put together two impressive performances. On Saturday, RSL notched their second shutout in State League play in a 3-0 win over Futbolito Roadrunners YSC 98. Goals were scored by: Diego Robles, Robby Orona, Ryan Flood and Austin Tucker.
In the second weekend match on Sunday, the RSL U-16 Elite squad put together another solid performance in a 5-0 win over Tanque Verde SC 98 Boys Blue. Goals were scored by: (2) Chris Fourcand, Alejandro Parra, Gio Alcocer, and Diego Robles
In three State League matches the RSL U-16 Elite squad is at the top of the table with 9 points. At the end of the season the top two teams will be promoted to Division I.
