Recreation
Having Fun While Training And Learning
Residential academy students often use the student union room on the weekends to host intense ping pong tournaments, have exciting foosball matches, or play their favorite video games on the high-definition flat-screen televisions. Satellite television makes all the popular channels and the top soccer channels available, so students can watch their favorite teams with their teammates.
Outside the dorm rooms are spacious greenbelts where residential academy students play soccer tennis for hours, toss around a frisbee, or generally take advantage of the warm Arizona weather. Of course, some just have an itch to go back out to the fields and practice their soccer skills on their own or in small groups.
Some academy students also take advantage of the golf course, driving ranges, short game facility, and putting greens. The baseball bat shaped pool is also a popular spot for players to enjoy themselves on a hot day, and the Jacuzzi and fire pit are great places to unwind and share stories at the end of the day.
If all of those activities grow old, there are many other recreational activities (some at a fee) including:
- mountain hiking
- amusement parks
- movies
- dances
- football games
- basketball games
- and much more
